I have submitted patch to the linux-input ML (a.k.a. "upstream").[1] Note that it's a little different (based on input from ENAC). I'm not tracking the repos to see if it's accepted or not. To get it in MeeGo, it'll need to be accepted into Linus's branch... and you'll need to have a MeeGo bug for it.
