Has the gconf_default_config.patch been merged upstream? If not, how
is the device target now specified (or better yet, auto discovered) now?
We ended up finding out that the patch was upstream, but the location of
the key changed with post 1.1 updates.
The new gconf location is /meegotouch/target/name, and now instead of
the big ini file in /etc/meegotouch/device.conf, you land your own
device config in /usr/share/meegotouch/targets/YOURTARGET.conf
