It's up to the the community to make #meego and #meego-dev active. So far, we have ~90 people on these channels and as you noticed, they're quiet. I prefer to go in a channel with less people but active on a topic I'm interested in. > So no, I personally would not support this. I'm supporting the initiative. Let's give it a try and see if it's useful instead of trying to kill it even before it's born. If the channel isn't useful, it will die by itself.
