Yes, and participate in discussion I'm interested in.
These channels doesn't contain any :)

do you mind if I can choose the channels I want to go and the
discussions I want to participate?

Well of course not.
But you are using the word "I"... I'd rather you used the word "we".

This isn't just about you. It's about "us". Being isolationist is generally not a good thing for the community even if it is convenient sometimes. One of the biggest issues I see in MeeGo is poor communication.

I completely agree that #meego is the wrong channel - it's noisy and not "work-related". #meego-dev on the other hand already has the scope you mentioned as the main topic - why isn't it appropriate? You've already said that it's not noisy. Is it just that there are a lot of lurkers?

Feel free to join if you're interested in _packaging_

So what is _packaging_ ?

It's about taking some code and validating that it meets the need of the particular distro; it ensures that things are done consistently (process) and that the implementation is consistent (policy) and that package interactions, builds, bugs and features are handled correctly (quality). That's what's discussed in #meego-dev is about.

Please join there and help us work _together_ to ensure that packaging meets the MeeGo policy, process and quality standards that will make it succeed.
