Reference the root feature requiring the telepathy packages and having them

What feature are you targeting? I guess you are not updating the packages for
plain fun :-)
The packages in question are very actively developed. My intention was
to continuously keep them as much up to date in MeeGo as possible, so
the all the applications using them (either the ones already packaged
such as Empathy, or 3rd party) can make use of the new features and
bugfixes.
(As an example, the changes in telepathy-qt4 from 0.2.2 (currently
packaged) to 0.3.14 (current stable version) reference 59
freedesktop.org issues (bugs or enhancements) fixed - and there are a
lot more changes that aren't directly attributable to the fd.o bugs).
Also I want to lessen my future pain when a feature *is* needed which
then requires 10 packages to be updated just because they're all pretty
stale.
From what I understood, this is (used to be?) acceptable for Meego
Trunk, although the Release_Engineering/Process now specifies that the
bugs should be referenced.
I /could/ search in upstream changelogs, find serious bugs that were
fixed and file bugs like these:
http://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=9550
But if I'd like to continously maintain the packages, then IMHO that's a
bit of an overkill.

Senko
