kernel exposes that via sysfs in
/sys/devices/virtual/dmi/id/product_name and/or board_name
(this is the standard IA way of enumerating what board you're on)
Except we don't seem to have this (or any /sys/devices/virtual/dmi for
that matter) on current revs of nCDK (EB3.0).
that sounds like a serious defect in the firmware of the device you
have.....
that's certainly worth a critical bug; providing this information is
part of being IA/x86,
and it's also not very hard for a firmware/bios to do ....
I'm rather surprised this is not provided right now.
