I had faint recollection that this is defined somewhere but I could not find any description for "qa contact" role. I suppose the main thing is to is work with/support package maintainers (Fedora example [1], meego guidelines for maintaining package [2]) and others on QA related issues/questions for component in case. On feature area QA contact could make testability analysis (yes or no value to testability field) and hopefully identify "feature acceptance tests" which could be used at the end causing feature status to be changed as "VERIFIED". And these tasks would be done with help of product management and package maintainers. Please suggest the place for documenting this (wiki maybe) and contribute the definition. I can create page to wiki (or add data into already existing page) after feedback from you (meaning all qa folks - not just andre ;-).
