Getting off-topic, slightly ranting, plus repeating myself: On Thu, 2011-06-30 at 08:58 +0100, Andrew Flegg wrote: > On Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 02:25, Zhou, JieX A <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > Was there any body realize the potential risk/impact of this to the > > other parties (let's say meego-dev@ mailing list here) when the original > > mail of this change sent out? > > Andre seemed to, but was assured that it had come from the development > community/management: > > https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=19369#c5
Yeah I tried, but the general feeling of either getting ignored, getting answers that answer something else than the actual question, or getting cryptic answers that generically refer to some hallway discussions or decisions without providing any public references is tiresome to me and harmful to a project that is intended to be open and collaborative. Plus there was no way (a document) to review the exact proposal either except for the MeeGo conf SF slides and clicking around in a sandbox Bugzilla. See http://lists.meego.com/pipermail/meego-qa/2011-May/001711.html or https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=19369#c12 . Not sure what to blame for the general communication problem. Corporate vs community backgrounds, different social backgrounds, different personalities, or probably everything together. andre -- Andre Klapper (maemo.org bugmaster) http://www.openismus.com _______________________________________________ MeeGo-qa mailing list [email protected] http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-qa
