I want to ask a question. Should the MPL of meep contact a layer formed by a uniform material? For example, if i simulate something about air-semicoductor DBR£¬ should i set a air layer surround the DBR?
The PML should always *overlap* the medium whose waves you want to absorb.(As Ardavan pointed out, PML does not work so well in general for absorbing waves in periodic structures, but it is better than nothing.)
