Hi, Steven and other MEEP users, As tutorial "Transmission spectrum around a waveguide bend" shows, two flux-monitors are added at the beginning or end of the waveguide. I added another monitor at the center of the waveguide. The computation cell is 32X64. And the resolution is set as 40.
After the simulation with no-bend, the results recorded by these monitors are showed as below: flux1:, 0.1, 3.67071951055484e-5, 3.66314396752776e-5, 3.52896533218256e-5 flux1:, 0.101010101010101, 5.58907396363679e-5, 5.57750684281336e-5, 5.3794791720352e-5 flux1:, 0.102020202020202, 8.43803512173507e-5, 8.42147624975102e-5, 8.13107970401325e-5 flux1:, 0.103030303030303, 1.26306186497686e-4, 1.26092777882602e-4, 1.21865023629865e-4 flux1:, 0.104040404040404, 1.87443528861153e-4, 1.87213479594186e-4, 1.81108998499526e-4 flux1:, 0.105050505050505, 2.7578819505731e-4, 2.75625842971689e-4, 2.66892522863854e-4 flux1:, 0.106060606060606, 4.02303920804808e-4, 4.0237445275616e-4, 3.9000682013109e-4 flux1:, 0.107070707070707, 5.81881818588906e-4, 5.82454067290889e-4, 5.65133824407611e-4 flux1:, 0.108080808080808, 8.34554960634566e-4, 8.3600526571312e-4, 8.12040878429303e-4 flux1:, 0.109090909090909, 0.00118701021037326, 0.00118978947563553, 0.0011570601170473 . . . flux1:, 0.186868686868687, 0.0131220951570252, 0.0131253725309198, 0.0131875475159658 flux1:, 0.187878787878788, 0.00984476437880714, 0.00984777402129219, 0.00989315649537612 flux1:, 0.188888888888889, 0.00732625398024984, 0.00732873221152658, 0.00736168559084301 flux1:, 0.18989898989899, 0.00540802067270773, 0.00540985236942651, 0.00543365311366497 flux1:, 0.190909090909091, 0.00395984310993401, 0.00396104370577163, 0.00397813622752015 flux1:, 0.191919191919192, 0.0028760878028852, 0.00287676058090762, 0.00288895979809349 flux1:, 0.192929292929294, 0.00207209543683104, 0.00207238315652643, 0.00208103041996802 flux1:, 0.193939393939395, 0.00148080496122195, 0.00148084989257591, 0.00148693198499405 flux1:, 0.194949494949496, 0.00104969328991857, 0.0010496122734268, 0.00105385248716858 flux1:, 0.195959595959597, 7.38072944039011e-4, 7.37947568515367e-4, 7.40874740038709e-4 flux1:, 0.196969696969698, 5.14760340610384e-4, 5.14638382015044e-4, 5.16637866281986e-4 flux1:, 0.197979797979799, 3.56104780000708e-4, 3.56007795162555e-4, 3.57358480838706e-4 flux1:, 0.1989898989899, 2.44352629318998e-4, 2.44285270258235e-4, 2.45186946211658e-4 flux1:, 0.200000000000001, 1.66312002857842e-4, 1.66270180668806e-4, 1.66864478028846e-4 The second column is the results recorded by the monitor located at the end of the waveguide. The third column is the results recorded by the monitor located at the center of the waveguide. The fourth column is the results recorded by the monitor located at the beginning of the waveguide. At the beginning of the results, the data of the fourth column is small than ones of the second column. Is it right? Many thanks! BR Jun
