Dear Johnson,

Thanks for your last reply. I have a problem on the discretization of
structure in FDTD. As you mentioned in the Meep Tutorial, at least 8
pixels/wavelength in the highest dielectric is a good idea. However, when I
simulate a waveguide multiple bends structure formed in the photonic-crystal
slab, the transmit flux goes to divergence. We set the resolution to 10 as
usual, while the high-dielectric material with epsilon of 12, the
frequencies lies in the range of 0.25~0.35, which corresponds to around 29~40
pixels/wavelength, or around 9~12 pixels/wavelength in the high-dielectric
material. Is the pixels too little for multiple bends structure to get the
right consequence?

If it is true, then what is the best value for resolution that can get the
balance to both accuracy and efficiency?

Thank you very much!

Regards
Bonny Chan
