I want to know about difference between continuous source and Gaussian source. Meep’s reference says just.. : A continuous-wave source proportional to exp( − iωt), possibly with a smooth (exponential/tanh) turn-on/turn-off. A Gaussian-pulse source roughly proportional to exp( − iωt − (t − t0)2 / 2w2). But I can’t understand what exact difference is. I need more detailed information about that. And I am interested in electromagnetic waveguide in photonic crystal slab So what source is suitable about this? Please help me.. Sincerely Hwanhee Cho.
