In Cartesian coordinates, you can only make flux planes that are rectangular.

In cylindrical coordinates, you can specify a flux plane perpendicular the Z direction as a cylindrical annulus by giving the range of radii in the same way that you specify rectangular boxes in Cartesian coords.
