I've reinstalled libpng (http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/libpng.html) so the
library is in place and gcc finds it. However, I'm still getting the
error. Is it possible that h5utils is not compatible with the latest
version of libpng (1.5.7)?

Thanks,
Greggory
