Dear Meep Users,

using bloch periodic boundaries in x-direction and PML in y-direction. I have a scatterer with gratings, where the incident wave propagates in different angles on it. Right now I have for the normalization run and the scattering run the same stop_when_field_decayed function. For some angles at the normalization run, the field doesn't converge at all or just converge when I make the decay_by very small (1e-1).

I would now like to do first the scattering run and from there take the run time and use it for the normalization run. In this case load_minus_flux wouldn't work anymore. Does anyone know the best way to achieve first the scattering run and then the normalization?

Regards
Christoph
