I spoke to Rochelle Goff at the L.A. County Chief
Admin Office regarding AB 3229 funding. She informed me that there will be
no funding this year 2000/01. Replacing those funds is AB 1913, which was
just funded today, and cities can expect a minimum of $100,000 scheduled to be
paid around Oct. 20, 2000.
The CLEEP funding is a separate funding source,
also with a minimum $100,000 per city for use on high technology (whatever that
means).
