As some of you may recall, back in July I had requested information
regarding policies related to business casual attire. OCTA was considering
going to a full-time business casual policy from a Friday only policy. The
attachment summarizes the responses that I had received and have finally had
a chance to summarize.
OCTA has implemented a full-time business casual approved dress code. This
was done in August by memo from the CEO. The memo outlined basic acceptable
business casual attire. Staff must still wear the usual suit/ties to
Board/Committee and external business meetings. And of course this all
occurred just after I bought two new suits! But the short story is that it
is working very well. No problems noted to date, and the employees really
like having the choice in how they dress.
