Dear PAA Members, The Pakistani American Association of North Carolina is pleased to announce that an official General Body Meeting (GBM) will be called on Saturday, January 25th at 3pm to 5pm, at the Bond Park Community Center(Oak Room) in Cary.
All members of the outgoing 2002 EC and the newly elected 2003 EC (as elected on Saturday 16th November at the Iftar Dinner) with the exception of the VP-elect Mr. Iltifat Patel and Treasurer-elect Mrs. Assiya Wasti because they are out of town at the moment, have been contacted by Hassan Safvi of the CIT and have agreed to support the CIT in calling and conducting this meeting. This meeting has been arranged and will be conducted by the CIT (Community Involvement Team) of the PAA. The CIT is an active and standing committee of the PAA and has been carrying out community service work over the past year. None of the CIT members are members of the 2002 EC or the 2003 EC-elect. This meeting is open to all paid members of the PAA, the 2002 EC and the 2003 EC-elect. If you were a fully paid up member in 2002 and have not yet paid your renewal dues, you are still a member until January 31, 2003 and are entitled to attend this GBM and vote. All members are STRONGLY encouraged to attend this GBM. This is likely to be one of the most important recent GB meetings to be held and your participation is very important. AGENDA: 1. To decide whether the 2003 EC elected on Saturday November 16, 2002 is ratified and accepted by the General Body. 2. Elect new EC members for those positions that may have become vacant since Saturday November 16, 2002 due to resignation or other reasons. 3. Any Other Business. The meeting will start PROMPTLY at 3:00 PM. The meeting will finish PROMPTLY at 4:45 PM and we have to vacate the hall by 5:00 PM sharp.
