It is with sadness that we share the news that Farooq Ali's mother passed away this morning in Virginia after a prolonged illness. May Allah reward her for all her good deeds and grant her a place in Jannah, and may He also grant the family the strength to bear the loss.
Both Farooq and his wife Maryam are active members of the community. Farooq Ali is the current treasurer of the PAA, his wife Maryam was the General Secretary of the PAA last year, and both actively participate in the monthly Urdu Majlis and other cultural activities.
