This is a wonderful petition (in my humble opinion) and finally, we Muslims are speaking out and openly saying, for the benefit of fellow Muslims and non-Muslims alike, that we dissociate ourselves from all such acts. Up till now, the silence of the majority of Muslims on this issue has been deafening, for whatever reasons.
In the past I have sometimes been critical of CAIR, only because of it's silence and seemingly evasive stance on this very issue. Finally, I am very glad that CAIR has taken a clear and correct position, and I hope all other Muslim American organizations (and indeed all Muslims worldwide) will do the same if they are not doing so already. best regards Ahsen Salim.
