Message from the Community Involvement Team...
DINNER FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE Sunday, June 13th, 2004 The Community Involvement Team (CIT) is organizing a dinner for the homeless people on Sunday, June 13th, 2004 at Raleigh Homeless Shelter. (Ladies think of it as a free cooking training session for your husbands! If nothing else, they will be expert onion peelers!) We organized 3 such dinners last year and have planned for 7 dinners this year. Each dinner feeds 200-230 people and costs approximately $250. These dinners and other such social projects give us opportunities to be directly involved with, and to give back to, the communities we live in and in turn raise awareness about our presence and value in the society. We ask for your participation in this or upcoming homeless-dinner projects by contributing your time and/or money. The dinner on the mentioned date will require help of 6 to 8 people, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
