The Islamic Association of Raleigh (Raleigh Masjid) has arranged for Salat-ul-Eid to be held at the Durham Marriott on Sunday, November 14th at 8:00am. Directions to the Durham Marriot can be obtained from the Raleigh Masjid website (http://www.islam1.org).
Because of the likely shortage of space and parking issues at the Marriott Hotel in Durham for the entire Muslim community on Sunday morning for Salat-ul-Eid, the Cary Masjid (http://www.carymasjid.org) has decided to prudently arrange an additional location. Salat-ul-Eid will also be held at the Cary High School on 638 Walnut Street (opposite the Cary Towne Mall) at 8:30am on Sunday, November 14th. Cary Masjid fully recognizes the sharia preference to have Salat-ul-Eid at one location for all the Muslims in the local area. However, due to the unavoidable situation with Dorton Arena not being available this weekend, Cary Masjid decided it would be necessary to provide an alternative location to avoid space management issues at the Durham Marriott. Please bring prayer rugs to Cary High. Zakat-ul-Fitr is $7 per person and needs to be paid prior to Salat-ul-Eid. There is no preference of one location over the other. Please perform your Salat-ul-Eid at whichever location is most convenient to you and suits you and your family. Ramadan Karim, Eid Mubarak and may Allah(swt) reward you for your good deeds this blessed month of Ramadan and accept your sayyam and qayyam.
