Derek,
The gazelle has an H190 live axle rear the same as the 1600 wagon, but uses
a four link suspension system with coil springs. The 1600 wagon rear uses
leaves. The 1600 wagon rear axle width (flange to flange) is 1370mm, while
the gazelle rear width is 1440 mm. The 1600 wagon axle uses the small
spline axles not muck better than an H165, while the gazelle axles are the
same big axles as series three bluebird and the works stanza rear ends. No
production gazelle rear axles were LSD standard, but were available as an
option for most japanese high performance versions (FJ20 det) etc, but not
in OZ. To mount a gazelle rear axle into a stanza you will need to do some
mods to your wheel arches and fit some flares for most wheels.
Cheers
Feral Errol
