Johno,
The reversing light switch should swap with the pollution switch,
i think they are the same. The switch out of a 4 speed should fit
as well, i sure i have just grabbed any old gearbox switch when
the need has arisen in the past.

There are 3 common ratios for a dogleg, 0.833, 0.852 and 0.856. To
find out which you have go to 4000 rpm in 4th, change to 5th and
note the drop in revs. if the box is out of the car, select 5th
and turn the input shaft 360 degrees and note how many degrees the
output shaft turns. it's all mathematical from then to work out
the ratio.

regards,

Subject: Dogleg switches

Help,
I have just installed a dogleg 5 spd in my P510 and the
reversing light switch is stuffed, but the O/drive switch is
good. Can these switches be changed around? Also would like to
know the O/drive ratio, if anyone can help?

Regards,
            Johno (Wodonga Vic)
