the older style of CA had tubing going from the turbo straight over the rocker cover and into the manifold. The later went around the front. (different intake manifolds)

ask  brendan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) about the taco as he had to do something trickey to get his SR working with a tacho.

Did you have to modifiy the sump/crossmember? and what computer you using?

Its the one with the coil packs. I was told that nissan puts out a weak signal and a resister will weaken it even more so I don't think that will work - but I will try it.

Im not sure what you mean about (over cam manifold)??

I used the CA18 bellhousing and the stumpy skyline five speed for the rest.
The shifter came out in the exact same spot.

With the hydrolic cluctch, we just welded a plate on the firewall for reinforcement and bolted the mastercylinder up.

Do you have direct fire coil packs or the other thingy? As i heard you have to wack in a resistor to fix the signal or something like that.

Is the CA the one with the over cam manifold or the later model one?

Also what gearbox and bellhousing did you use? where does the shifter come out.?   How did you install a hydrolic clutch?

I have recently installed a nissan CA18 turbo into a datsun 1200 Ute. I goes really well except I have no tacho. I tried conecting the old tacho, but the signal isn't strong enough (The nissan's apparently has a weak signal). Can anyone suggest what I can buy that will work??

It should be the same with a SR20

Thanks
Chris Adams
