We are in the region of the US with the cheapest gas prices. The current
pump price is about $1.39 per gallon for 87 octane. In California, it is
almost $3.00. Just last summer we were paying $0.68 a gallon. The quality
of gas has also decreased. The last good gasoline, which is Amoco white,
was taken off the market 30 years ago and the best you can get is 93
octane. Forget those dome-top pistons!
