Title: RE: Starter Motor Bolts Stripped

James,

Would it be possible to drill the hole all the way through and put a nut and bolt setup on?

Cheers

Subject:        Starter Motor Bolts Stripped

Hi Everyone

Well I am just about to put the 2L and sss 5 speed (dog leg type- hey I
got
it cheap:) into the 16 and am cleaning up the thing before dropping it
in...
only to discover that one of the starter motor bolts is stripped (The
thread
is part of the gearbox) :(
Anyone got any ideas on how to fix it....otherwise I will have to put
off the install another night and take the box somewhere tomorrow
and get it helicoiled......but I don't want to wait another day.....
I have already tried to tap it out to another thread size to no avail.

anybody got any brain waves??

cya
