On the OzDat homepage there is a page about a supercharged bluebird. In the write up it claims to have an On/Off switch for the supercharger, I was interested in setting up a system like that last year on a supercharged 4AGZE Toyota Corolla I had, but every single person I spoke to about it (and that was a lot of people) said such a setup is totally impossible and was just made up for the mad max movie.

Twaddle, Toyota use a system sort of  like this that the charger is turned on/off by the puter (prolly a manual trick or two available) in a few production Japanese domestic models that use the 4A-GZE engine; eg Trueno GT-Z Coupe, a MR-2 GT circa 1990, but you're better off using the 20 valve 4A-GE engine as it produces the same hp in nornmal aspirated form, like no turbo/supa charge insurance/engineering etc I wish Nissan did something like this; Oh what a feeling that would be.

Am I now to believe that all those people were wrong and that it is indeed possible??anyone had experience with such a setup?
