At
least you got to drive yours. We had ours on an engine dyno, number three
detonated still cost $1000.00 in dyno time.
Anyway
in Perth, Brett Henderson in his FJ powered 1600 has attained 340hp at the rear
wheels on 20psi with standard rods and crank with forged Arias pistons courtesy
of SPS in Melbourne at a cost of $1200 ( I think
). The rods were shot peened and crack tested, linished
and resized and to date have never let him down. With the recent addition
of a T66 Turbonetics Turbo and highflow race gate, increased
boost has all been with standard rods and crank.
He
also fabricates his own exhaust manifolds and has built numerous FJ
monsters. I can put you in contact with him if you wish. As far as
building killer FJ's there is not many better.
