At least you got to drive yours.  We had ours on an engine dyno, number three detonated still cost $1000.00 in dyno time.

Anyway in Perth, Brett Henderson in his FJ powered 1600 has attained 340hp at the rear wheels on 20psi with standard rods and crank with forged Arias pistons courtesy of SPS in Melbourne at a cost of $1200 ( I think ).  The rods were shot peened and crack tested, linished and resized and to date have never let him down.  With the recent addition of a T66 Turbonetics Turbo and highflow race gate, increased boost has all been with standard rods and crank.

He also fabricates his own exhaust manifolds and has built numerous FJ monsters.  I can put you in contact with him if you wish.  As far as building killer FJ's there is not many better.

Subject: I fucked up Big Time

Finally the datto was finished.

Datsun 1600, FJ20T Purring beautifully under the bonnet., and decided to take her for a cruise Sat Night. (Reminding myself that it still wasn't dyno tuned and my haltech had only a base map in it).

But what is it about 1600's with that kind of power that you can't resist the temptation to fang the fuck out of them???? No matter what the consequences???

ANyway in Summary it seems like I blew a piston. (No.1 no compression). racing a Liberty 4WD Turbo... (beat it ofcourse) but it was an expensive run.

Oh well.. I guess it's just an excuse for building a monster now.... goodbye mr stocker FJ.... time for balls....

ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET ANY KIND OF PERFORMANCE PARTS FOR MY MOTOR??? FORGED PISTONS, CONRODS?? AND OFCOURSE A NICE BIG T04 MANIFOLD AND TURBO.

This time I'm not taking any risks.

Anthony
