And a word of warning - I had a complete engine rebuild done at a workshop -
paid top dollar, and after having taken it back 3 times for overheating,
which I eventually fixed with proper thermostat, I pulled tappet cover off
to fix the leaking gasket (their fault as only 6 weeks after rebuild), I
find that they must not tension too many bolts properly, as one of the cam
retainer bolts was torn out, but still sitting in the hole - that is to say
al thread had been stripped, and bolt left in hole.
Happy boy - not

Subject: Re: camshaft bearing brackets
Its a big joke about the cam brackets,
Just dont mix them up ,I unbolt and change cams all the time and have
only ever had one mishap.
They have round dowels like the head to block,,if you try to put one on
with out looking and their is two one one side you will break the cam.
other wise no problems
NOTE,
It all hardend steel bolts into alloy so dont overtighten them.
off hand I dont have the touque handy but its not much.20?
