SOB's,

Are the Jap L20B mold castings different to the Oz blocks. If so how do you
tell them apart. I realise there is some confusion over which car has what.
I just after spotters/ sticky beck info, thats all.

Currently running a internally standard 84 series 2 bluebird motor in a 1600
race car.
Also have to fix the sister inlaws ca20 series 3 bluebird blown head gasket.
According to SOB's the best of both worlds, NOT!

Respectful of SOB's
Trev

MAL Nissan aus spent a shit load of cash on a casting plant here and with
their
usual sucess rate stuffed up big time ' All the L20b blocks cast were soft
and
required reboring after a short time I would imagine that some early 810
blocks were
imported as these seemed to take a hone and rings instead of a rebore. To
meet Aus
polution standards and boost performance our series 2 910's had a Bosch
electronic
dizzy/thermo fan/electric fuel pump to enhance performance and for some
bizzare
reason this is the only L engine that wont run on unleaded probably due to
the
pistons as ACL offer new pistons for L20b's which enable them to run
ULP.Then NMA
decided to give us series 3 910 with a carby CA20 just imagine how many
they would
have sold if they gave us Z18/ca20e etc .AS I say they screwed themselves
perhaps
their into incest.
Sorry to go on but Nissan could have remained bigger than Toyota but for
inept
!!!!!!!!
managment
