G'day, we both must be at the same point for our Fj conversions, I just put
mine in last Saturday.  I haven't hooked up any electricals yet, I will be
using the stock ecu and airflow.  Plenty of FJs around that go bloody hard
using the stock system.  I'm not saying aftermarket ECU's aren't any good,
some are.  Just cheaper to throw the stock system on if you have it, that's
all.  Foxy did have some problems with the computer to loom connectors being
crap though.

I didn't have to cut the transmission tunnel other than extend the shifter
hole.  I "panelbeated" the firewall for the dump pipe and top of the tunnel
for the gearbox but that was it.  It (my 1600) was a manual from the factory
too.  But I made up my own fitting bits from copying friends engine
mounts/gearbox mount/crossmember etc.
