Greg,

I'd recommend Bendix Ultimates if you can get them to suit your application.
I have them fitted front and rear and I love 'em! They will do multiple
160kph+ stops in close succession and never look like fading. They only take
one stop at low speed to bring them up to temp and after that they are
great. I've put them in our Commodore too and the wife has never complained
about any "I have no brakes" feeling when they are dead cold.

They are bloody dirty though (ie: lots of black dust) - although most of the
newer non-asbestos pads seem to be a bit like that.

Subject: ADVICE RE DISC PADS

Howdy,
I am about ready to buy a new set of front disc pads for my D1600 (240k
twin spots)
Any recommendations? I am currently running Ferodo Excels which are OK but
nothing spectactular.
It is car that spends most of the time on the road at 60 k but has the odd
angry burst through the hills on weekends. So I am not looking for super
high temp racing pads that chop out rotors every 2,000 km & do not work
until they get to temperature.
Any thoughts will be appreciated.
Ta, Greg Ho
PS - what are Metal Kings like these days - they used to be shit many years
ago - tooo hard.
