Man, Don't want to sound aggressive, but I'm kinda pissed off and annoyed.
Please get your facts right, we don't steal ANYTHING from OzDat. Or ANY
OTHER SITES. We work our butts off, and to hear stuff like this is
depressing.
Our content is MOSTLY submitted from our VISITORS.
Links CAN NOT be stolen, they are a collection of our favourites, our
visitors favourites and also link exchanges WE have made with OTHER SITES
with THEIR PERMISSION, AT THEIR REQUEST.
NOT ONE PICTURE OR CAR has been STOLEN, we have the permission for the use
of any pics that are taken by ANYONE ELSE, ALOT of OUR CONTENT is OURS.
With all respect to OzDat, We don't aim to be like OzDat, we are a group of
DATO enthusiasts that want to help out, and entertain other Enthusiasts,
its a hobby.
Its sad to see some one accuse us like that, we don't steal content, we
never will. DatNet supports OzDat and does not plan to COPY, we didn't spend
hours of our spare time to COPY another site, its a fresh, original design,
with original content. Do you see a LJ torana with a RB20DET on OzDat, do
you see the lime green Dato 1600 which has just started to get together on
OzDat, do you see the online community?, do you see the same classifieds
ads? Do you see the DatNet logo? Do you see our Engine library? Our massive
Technical library?
We have created LOTS of content and there is a hell of alot more to come,
any content from other sites are not done in a crude way and satisfactory
credits are given to the author/copyright holder.
We aim to be as unique, interesting and informative as possible. We have
just to started in the last week and already receive over 60 unique hits
daily, we must be doing something right by the majority. Rather than making
a fool of one self over the OzDat mail list you could have called us or
e-mailed us privately to discuss your problem with our site, it would have
saved the embarassment of your 'stuff up'.
All in all, you opened your mouth, and a heap of unfactual rubbish came
out.
We DO NOT have EXACTLY THE SAME STUFF THAT OZDAT HAS. We DO NOT STEAL ANY
LINKS or PICTURES or ANYTHING ELSE.
We ASK if we use/link to ANY INFORMATION or CONTENT, and we AKNOWLEDGE the
OWNER.
We CREATE a SHITLOAD of our CONTENT.
Our first UNHAPPY visitor, the first LOW INTELLIGENCE I have seen on the
list, jumping to conclusions, pointing the finger and accusations.
I'm sorry this came up, I'm sorry you were wrong, but as I always say, we
love the feedback! ; )
