Hi Everyone
There is no reason why we cannot coexist. After all the aim of
Ozdat is to bring all us 'Datto Enthusiasts' together :)
I think of Ozdat as a collection of resources for Datsun enthusiasts
and some of those resources are contained on the Ozdat site and
some are contained on other sites....Ozdat just ties or brings it all
together in one place.
On a side note....
I have been planning on a change to a darker background of some
sort and also have had a Web community setup for sometime now...
just waiting on DNS changes and linking into the site. So at the end
of the day we will have a lot more in common...(Just letting you know
in advance before you all think I borrowed the ideas ;)
One last thing... on Announcements / Notices from other Web Sites etc.
Some here and there are cool, especially when there has just been an
update etc. or when a new site is starting up.... as a matter of fact
we _want_ to hear that sort of stuff...
But you will notice that even I keep the Ozdat web site announcements
via the List to a minimum as the List traffic is high enough already and
some people don't consider it Datsun Tech talk.
There is also a point where it (advertising on the list) could become a
conflict of interest with Ozdat... So keep it to related to Updates,
announcements and things like that.
There are heaps of other ways to Promote sites on the list... e.g.. if a
question is posted to the list and you know the answer is contained
on your site then reply to that question with a link to the relevant pages
on the site...
Anyway enough said on the topic I think.
Back to Datsuns......
