My track is spot on 52.5" and the ACT transport dept don't care whether a
510 is a SSS or not but any wider and you're failed though. Funny thing is
that mine was never measured in it's life that I know of until I applied to
get the front brake upgrade passed.
Wow, a 53.75" track must look wild on a 510.

be very careful about offsets on your wheels.. I have been looking into this
and it seems that most dattos with aftermarket wheels are illegal in this
regard
The rules are
2" (50mm) is the max increase in diameter so 15" is max
1" (25mm) is max for track increase.. this is measured from the middle of
the tyre tread on each side
i would be very interested to know what people on the list are running in
the way of track
51.5" is max for a 510 sedan and 52.5" is max for 510 SSS
my 15" x 8.5" is about 53.75" and the transport dept will not budge and give
me approval (bastards)
