As far as bloww-off values go they are there just to stop excess boost
between the compressor and the throttle body. When you take your foot off
the gas for a gear change(unless you flat shift) the built up boost will hit
the closed throttle and rebound into the compressor. This can actually push
the wheel in the other direction. The compressor can handle this a few times
but eventually BANG!. The other alternative is to run a second body infront
of the compressor outlet. This is in line(connected) to your exising
accelorator cable. As the main throttle closes so does the compressor wheel,
stop. Like putting your thumb on the end of a staw. Some cars also run an
expansion hose inbetween to flex with the sudden boost. Primative but
effective. As far as the SR conversion SSS, as expensive as they are, can
help with advice and mountings. I did see the stand at the GLO Show but am
very disapointed at the amount of traders at any event. All these cars with
little tech advice. It seems the only people who really want to help are the
ones who really want your cash. I prefer much more "earthy" events like the
Nationals because the builder will acually discuss their cars and trades
have excellent "show" specials.
