Daniel,
The answer to your exact question is no. Having said that I think you may
have asked the wrong question - you could be wanting information on any
variation to the rear track with R31 discs fitted. The answer to this
question is yes and I'll explain why as the R31 conversion is topical at the
moment.
A drum butts up against the axle flange and then the wheel is fitted so the
drum acts as a spacer. A rear disc rotor is fitted the same way but in the
case of a R31 rotor the rotor thickness is ~3/32" more than the standard
1600 drum and therefore it's like fitting a bigger spacer.
This is no big deal but it does two things:
1. widens the rear track by ~3/16" or ~5 mm
2. shortens the amount of thread on the wheels studs protruding through the
rotor by ~3/32" which is generally not a problem if you use lug nuts but it
presents a problem if you are using conventional wheel nuts - in this case
to satisfy rego/engineers you would need to replace your wheels studs with
slightly longer ones from the donor R31.
regards
Terry

Hey Zac
With the R31 conversion, is the offset of the back wheels affected in anyway
or does it remain the same?
