I have seen an SR20 turbo in a mark2 escort, it was blue in an issue of fast fours and
rotories very neat and the way the intake manafold curves on the sr20 it clears the
brake booster. From memory it required the usual mods just like fitting into a 1600 eg
modified or custom engine mounts, crossmember, gearbox mounts all needed changing.
I'll see if I can find the artical. Never seen an FJ in an escort, the straight intake
manafold may complicate things.
I own an RS 2000 as a run about while I'm fitting a SR turbo into my 1600 is tempting
to put one into both!!!!! If only I had money to burn.
My 1600 kicks the RS on everything but economy but try and find a straight good runner
1600 for $1000 I don't think so!!!!
