Adam,
Aftermarket oil pumps are not the best option. If you want to go new then go
genuine, but most L series pumps will fit the Z18. I would think a 2nd hand
one would do, run it with a gauge to check output - pressure should be
between 57-63 psi (390-430 kpa) @ 2000 rpm with engine at operating
temperature. I've seen genuine L16 pumps still running to spec that have
travelled well in excess of 200K miles (320K klm). Some early L18 pumps were
valved for higher flow but the pressure was much the same. You can modify a
L pump to give higher pressure but this can be at the expense of flow as the
two don't necessarily go hand in hand so keep this in mind with a turbo
engine application.

Subject: Oil Pump.
Where can I get a good replacement oil pump for my Z18? Genuine NISSAN
or aftermarket? How much? I would like to get higher flowing pump and
maybe higher pressure.
