I am just trying to work out which processor to use for my EFI project. I
was
originally going to use a Motorolla 68HC11 because the dev board was
available in
australia and only $140.  I have since aquired a couple of intel computers
(a 386
and an even older one on unknown processor/os)  Using a 386 running at 20mhz
would
be much better but working the EEPROM and circuit into this chip is beyond
me at
this stage.

Thinking the 68HC is better for the time being. Maybe port it to an intel
later if
it actually works.

Ill i haveto do now is start it :)
