Malcolm,
Imp sure you're correct. There must be a huge multiplier effect on the
length of the steering arm though as I've got the straight arms off the '69
model but still with a 15:1 box and the turns are reduced from 4 to ~3.5.
The straight arms are lucky to be 1/4" shorter than the curved 70ish on
arms.

If you want quicker steering just shorten the arm the tie rod end goes
to this will do the trick.
