Chris,
It's good to see some common sense with some insurance companies. On the
other side of the coin I've got a mate with a N15 Pulsar that had to declare
his SSS suspension upgrade was for towing or some bs story. Unreal as it is
a factory option but that's how stupid they can be. With new cars they just
don't want to know about mods.

You've hit the magic word ie TURBO with the traditional insurers as they
turn off and I've been with one insurer for 30 years with only one small
claim in 1972 for a door that my mum nearly ripped of the 1200 that was
modified to the hilt with a Nismo 1400 GX engine. Frighteningly quick for
it's day that one, dare I say it was a 1600 killer and only had 1200 coupe
brakes shheesh makes you wonder.

These days even at my age GIO says I can do what I like to the 1600 except
turbo it and then even for tppi I'm outta here and off to Shannon's - so be
it.

i certainly did
i told them i have many mods
they didnt ask for a list they just told me its only a concern if they fully
comprehensively insure u. I told them i have engine gbox mags diff interior
suspension brakes etc and their attitude was who cars as long as it isnt a
turbo we dont care. Ive looked into it further but dealing with insurance
companies is a bigger pain in the arse than having ur rib broken by a drunk
chik haha long story but that was my weekend :)
