I had a ball-bearing CV joint explode in my 1100 mini. Just went BANG as I
was driving along, and then the sound of 8 ball-bearings bouncing around
under the car and revving without any acceleration!!! Yikes...
They were/are great cars, but they really need a full roll cage for any
safety these days. Somehow, the traffic seems to be a bit faster / heavier
than the good 'ol 60's and if you were to crash one you'd be stuft!
