brad,
airflow calcs for a pipe are not too tricky, but the formula used 
depends on what you are trying to achieve eg can be as simple as 
xsect-area*velocity, or far more detailed if you are trying to 
accurately estimate flow rates taking into account turbulence, 
pressure drop etc. perhaps if u give some details as to what you 
want the calcs for, someone may be able to give an appropriate 
formula for the application.
