Brad,
Do you know the minimum wall thickness after you ultrasounded the
block? I can probably use this to work out a required rod to stroke
ratio for reliability.
L20A rods are another option if you can get them. I'm pretty sure
they're 135mm. Anyone know for sure? I'm assuming the block is the same
height as L16/L18/L24/L26(207.8) and they used 38.1mm pin height that
gets
L20A stroke = 69.7
(69.7/2)+38.1+135 = 207.95
leaving piston 0.15mm above block deck, exactly the same as the L16.
They would probably require bigger rod bolts.
