Trevor

On your current specs it looks like a simple diff swap to a 4.1 or 4.6 LSD
would give you at least that time saving (probably more) without any engine
mods.

Many years ago I gained 3 seconds at Lakeland Hillclimb, Victoria (57 to
54sec) simply by putting in a (very good) LSD with the same ratio. (3.55:1
in an LJ XU1 Torana). My usual class competitors couldn't believe the
engine/tyres/suspension were untouched from my previous events runs.

Peter Brock (remember him?) ran an HDT XU1 the same day and did a 51
something, so there's an idea how much more you can get with better
engine/transmission ratios/tyres/suspension tuning and driver skill.
