On cooling things, I have an article here on a Dodge Ram with a V10 Viper
engine with twin turbos. It has 2 coolers and one is refigerated. Its
punching 1100hp.
Another interesting piece of race info is that the 2lt class in LeMans in
'64 was won by the MGB it came 16th or something outright; but if the MGB
had run just 7yrs earlier it would have won Le Mans outright.
Also for those into the good old days there was a legendary car built called
(i think)The BRC in the '50s. It was a V16 of only 1.5lts. It was so
powerful for its time that materials couln't keep up and its valves would
melt after 7min, and that was only if it could launch without blowing most
of the drive-train. It was estimated to produce over 700 horses.
There is no new technologies only improved ones!
