Zac, Sounds like an air leak to me too. It should purr like a kitten. Cheers Feral Errol ---------- From: Zac Campbell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Date: Thursday, October 19, 2000 12:45 List, I am having trouble with this stock carby. It is an L16 Stanza carby I bolted it on, no worries. I plugged up all the holes for the emmissions crap. When I start the car it sparks and turns over a few times but sounding like it is running on only 2/3 cylinders. Then it stalls and a puff of black smoke comes out the top of the carb. The motor ran find before I took off the weber. I simply bolted on this carb, no change to the timing. Should I change the timing for this carb? Is there a fuel mixture setting I should set before starting? I didn't use a new gasket, should I have used one? It osunds like it could be an air leak. thanks in advance!! zac --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
