Dear Terry,

Thank you for your enquiry RE- OPTIMAX

Optimax has been tested to all Australian Standards for pump fuels, and will
not damage any rubber seal or fuel system component anymore than straight
ULP, PULP, Super or Lead Free Super.

It may be that certain seals on the market don't meet the necessary
standards for petrol contact, in which case they may degrade in contact with
any petrol. These being-

SAE J30-R7 for rubber hoses

ASTM D2000 for other parts

It is the responsibility of the part/hose manufacturer to ensure and prove
compliance to these standards.

I trust this information has answered your question.

All the best,

Chris HS

Your Comments or Inquiry : There seems to be some comment around in the
media and on
car list groups on the net that would indicate that optimax is
not suitable for cars that have rubber fittings used in their fuel
lines.

Is this true and if so what can be used in place of rubber
fittings.

regards,
Terry Rudd
